Book Competition Winners Announced, New Answerers, and More

Hello Askers family,

A lot has happened since the last time we checked in. First, you have seen the addition of our comments feature. We’ve continued to grow our user base and celebrated many milestones, including gathering over 100,000 listens on Askers! Thank you to you all for being a part of our success. Now two quick but important announcements:

  1. LAWRENCE KRAUSS BOOK COMPETITION WINNERS:

Congratulations to STRNGLVE, John Hamill, and Paul Hess on winning signed copies of Lawrence Krauss’ latest book “The Greatest Story Ever Told  – So Far.”

Who is David?
David Brin is an acclaimed and prolific science fiction author, astronomer, NASA advisor, and tech consultant.  His novels include The Postman (which was made into a film starring Kevin Costner), and Earth, and Existence. You can ask David questions on a variety of topics including The Future, science fiction, writing, accountability, privacy, and science. Steven R Shaw

Who is Steven?
Dr. Steven R. Shaw is a professor of school psychology at McGill University. His work has included studying intellectual disabilities and autism, and advocating for evidence-based special education. Steven conducts and publishes research in behavior and language development in children with rare genetic disorders; resilience factors for children with risk factors for school failure, especially borderline intellectual functioning; and pediatric school psychology and health issues addressed by schools. Before entering academia, Steven had 17 years of experience as a school psychologist in school, university, hospital, medical school, and independent practice.
