On October 2nd, I sent Lin a cheeky, off-the-cuff text:
“Fancy f*ing off in a camper??”**
I had a pretty good idea what her answer would be—and sure enough, it came through almost immediately:
“Ooh yes please. Xxx”
Fast-forward nine months, and everything’s changed. We’ve liquidated our possessions, sold the house, placed an order for our campervan—and now we’re fully set to begin our great escape.
